iPhone and iPad: local favorites

No account is required in the native app. Your followed players and clubs, selected competitions, filters and appearance are saved on your device. Following someone does not claim their profile or grant permission to edit their data. The app does not sync your favorites between devices through a PlayerSignal account.

The app caches downloaded public football data so previously loaded information remains available offline. New data requires an internet connection. Device backups managed by Apple may include app files according to your backup settings; this is separate from app-to-app synchronization.

Without optional notifications, we do not upload your saved following list. Requests for player details and fixtures include the public player, club, season or competition needed to return that information. Network providers necessarily process connection information such as your IP address. The app does not access your contacts, precise location, photos or advertising identifier, and contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.

Optional match notifications

Notifications are off until you enable them and grant iOS permission. We then store an app installation identifier, Apple push token, notification choices, and the IDs of the public players and clubs you follow. These are linked to your app installation, not to a PlayerSignal account. The device stores an installation credential in Keychain; our server stores only its hash.

We use these details to send kickoff reminders and newly available results for the teams you follow. A team reminder does not mean a particular player has been selected. Apple delivers notifications through APNs; Cloudflare hosts the notification service, with its registration database provisioned in the EU. Apple's and Cloudflare's infrastructure may process network traffic outside your country. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Turn off Match notifications in app Settings to remove the server registration, follows and delivery records. If offline, removal completes when the app can connect again; Settings shows the pending status. Turning off permission in iOS prevents delivery, but the app must next connect to remove the registration. Uninstalling does not immediately tell our server.

Inactive registrations are removed after 90 days, and invalid Apple tokens when detected. Delivery records are kept for up to 14 days to avoid duplicate alerts. Your local favorites remain when notifications are disabled. The device credential can remain in Keychain after uninstall; it does not by itself enable notifications.

Public football records

PlayerSignal presents names, clubs, appearances, goals and estimated minutes derived from public DBU match reports. These can concern players under 18. They are distinct from information collected about someone using the app. Minutes and forecasts are estimates; incomplete source reports can affect accuracy. U17, U19, Liga and Division remain separate competitions.

Historical match records are retained to show development across available seasons. A public source does not remove a person's privacy rights. Players and parents or guardians can report a correction or request removal. Include the relevant player or match link and explain the request; please do not send identity documents unless we have discussed a secure, necessary way to verify the request. We assess requests individually, including the interests of young players.

Website accounts and optional profile details

The website has separate account and profile features with a separate sign-in. These are not required by the native app. Approved profile owners may add or clear optional details such as position, biography, media links and contact routes. Optional details are hidden until the owner chooses to publish them; contact details are not public by default. A parent or guardian may support a claim. Only add media links when you have the right to share them. Private uploads are access-controlled and excluded from public APIs.

The website loads PX7's website analytics script to measure page usage and uses Cloudflare for delivery and security. Opening a website link from the native app uses your browser and the website's data handling. Browser/account session information is separate from the native app's local favorites.

Support messages and deletion

If you email us, we receive your address and the information you choose to send, and use them to answer your request or resolve a data issue. Do not include passwords, private Apple account details or unnecessary information about other people. Ask us to delete support correspondence when it is no longer needed; some records may need to be retained to document a correction, resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.

Unfollow individual players or clubs in the app to remove them from your local list. Disabling notifications removes the service copy as explained above. Removing the app deletes its local app data, subject to Apple's backup and Keychain behavior. For website account or public-record requests, contact jorgen@larsen.name.
